The Marching Band program at Blaine High
School is part of a comprehensive music
program including four concert bands,
two jazz bands, orchestra, pep band,
Winter Drum line, and various other
ensembles.
The
musicians you see before you rehearse
entirely outside of the school day and
comprise one of the largest extra-curricular
activities at Blaine High School.
Most recently, the Blaine High School
Marching Bengals were selected to
perform in the 96th annual
National Cherry Blossom Festival in
Washington, D.C. last spring.
The Blaine High School Marching Bengals
were proud to present their fall 2007
show entitled:
Break Out!
featuring the music of Cirque Du Soleil.
The Blaine High School Marching Bengals
are under the direction of Andy Tye and
Matt Shervey, with additional
instruction by Tim Hauser, Becci Okane,
Matt Mann, Dan Noraker, Britany Piatz,
and Mike Zondervan.
The Blaine High School Marching Bengals
would like to give a special thank you
to the Band Boosters, Shawn Kolles,
Bruce Olson, Ed Schaefle, the Blaine
High School Administration, the Alumni
staff, and the parents for all their
help and support throughout the season

About the
Bands: |

The Marching Bengals are part of a
comprehensive music program which
includes four concert bands, two

The Winter Drumline is a highly
competitive organization and its staff holds
very high expectations for your success.

Weve joined the Cartridge World -
Blaine Recycling Program to help
raise funds for our organization. This
program
collects ink jet cartridges, laser toner
cartridges and cell phones while it raises
funds for the band.

2006 Marching Bengals
Last year the Marching
Bengals presented their Fall
2006 production titled: The Promise of
Living.
This show represents some of the
lesser known works of Aaron Copland. The
show opens with youthful optimism in An
Outdoor Overture. Gratitude and hope for a
better life are represented with The Promise
of Living. The show concludes with the
energy of The Red Pony and the triumph of
The Fanfare for the Common Man.

The 2005
Blaine High School Marching Bengals
In 2005 the Blaine High School Marching Bengals
were proud to bring you their fall
field show production entitled "La Nouba!"
This exciting production showcased some of
the most memorable music from the exciting
theatrical production of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.
Four pieces were selected, they are:
"Distorted", "Reve Rouge", "A La Lune" and
"Urban".
Once upon a time...
A door opened and two worlds collided.
Dreams clashed with reality. The mundane
mixed with the marvelous.
It was no longer possible to tell where one
world began and the other ended.
This new place was called La Nouba.
